PROJECT RED: ADDRESSING PERIOD WASTE
Introducing Project Red - an initiative addressing period waste and a project close to our hearts. We seek to tackle the huge environmental impact of sanitary products.
In this series, we chat with rural women both young and old, in the remote villages of Ranikhet, the Himalayas where we launched our Eco Pot Project in 2017 building 40 eco-toilets in these villages. Here we introduce the idea of period cups to these same women and we were pleasantly surprised to see their positive and enthusiastic response to making that switch.
