THIS CATEGORY OF SKIN
CONCERN CAUSES
SO MUCH ANXIETY
AND CONFUSION ABOUT
THE WAYS TO TREAT IT.
REMEMBER, OILS ARE
NOT AN ENEMY
OF THE SKIN.
A simple Purearth routine of masques, exfoliating and oiling treatments that we prescribe has helped many a client, showing visible improvement. My rituals can relieve and help clear conditions varying from mild, occasional breakouts, moderate inflammatory eruptions to severe nodules & cysts.
Your general Ayurvedic skin condition could be classified as a Pitta (heaty) dosha imbalance, which vitiates the rakta and medha dhatus (blood and fat tissues) producing toxins that block the energy pathways of the face, leading to disturbed sebaceous glands and pimple formation.
step 1
Always remember to fully damp your skin with the preservative, additive free pure Wild Rose Himalayan Mist before cleansing to hydrate and balance oil production without compromising the skin’s acid mantle.
step 2
Follow with pat-pressing 1-2 pumps of Qing Cleansing Oil all over the face and neck for a first cleanse and to calm inflammation and redness. Gently wipe away with damp warm wrung organic Kapas Exfoliating Muslin Face Cloth to allow the oil and warmth to penetrate and deep cleanse pores.
step 3
Your skin can do with a second cleanse. I recommend that you exfoliate nightly with the Turmeric Sand Exfoliant Face Masque. Carefully selected botanicals like Vedic, biodynamic, certified organic turmeric and neem act on bacterial inflammation, eruptions, acne and congestion. Take a teaspoon and mix with the Wild Rose Himalayan Mist to form a loose paste in the palm of your hand. On fully wet skin, gently work it all over the face to safely polish away grit and debris on the skin’s surface.
step 4
Super effective and beneficial for acneic, congested and inflamed skin, the Wild Seaberry Supercritical Oil is a powerhouse. Scientifically proven as a remedy to heal and clear acne and relieve inflammation, this oil will balance excess sebum production with its rare omega 7 profile and high vit C and E content. Gently pat a few drops into skin on face and neck. Pair up with the Kwansha Facial Beauty Coin. The ‘kansa’ alloy of the coin helps calm pitta heat within the system. Place its flat side on unbroken skin and glide it over face and neck to draw out pitta heat, acidity, blockages, impurities and toxins from the skin as well as the system.
step 5
Hormonal changes or a compromised sebum due to poor skincare or lifestyle choices are a bane. The Mitti Raw Honey Face Masque is your skin saviour! Ayurvedic herbs mulethi and manjishtha with select clays balance oil production, clear congestion, draw out toxins and lighten post inflammatory erythema (PIE) and hyperpigmentation (PIH). Masque with Mitti three to four times a week as a treatment. Avoid using your hands they can cause contamination. Use our hypoallergenic vegan Kunchi Face Brush to evenly layer the masques on face and neck.
step 6
I like to simplify my day and night ritual with just a drop or two of our pure and potent Wild Seaberry Supercritical Oil, this is especially compatible and effective for this skin condition category, Pat it on skin damped with the Wild Rose Himalayan Mist. This ritual has proven results in healing and clearing acneic skin with time, consistency and patience! A pump of the calming Camomila Eye Serum around the eye area helps depuff, refine skin texture and hydrate skin. For a detox cleanse from the inside out – our Wild Nettle Whole Leaf Tisane Infusion is a vital teatox and a very effective one that is well loved by many!
MATURE. DRY. DEHYDRATED.
THERE IS AN AMAZING
GRACE ABOUT A FACE THAT
GLOWS WITH VIBRANT SKIN,
RADIATING JOY IN
EVERY FINE LINE,
A QUIET WISDOM THAT
MANIFESTS WITH THE
PRIVILEGE OF AGE.
Age-less in my books means clear luminous skin at any age - glowing with vitality and health. UV sun exposure over the years, melasma, hormonal pigmentation and loss of elasticity and tone are a natural part of skin ageing. Dry skin lacks emollients while dehydrated skin lacks water. Skin with dryness and dehydration needs nourishment and hydration. A plump, radiant complexion the natural way is possible with humectants, emollients and moisture building treats. Your skin tends to be Vata (air, cold dry) dominant so indulge in deeply moisturizing Purearth facials, oil massages, masque-ing and exfoliating rituals.
step 1
Damp and tone skin with the Sambac Botanical Mist to tighten pores, promote cell regeneration, quench parched thirsty skin and restore pH balance. Sambac helps with Step 2 – the delivery of Qing oils and lipids to penetrate into skin.
step 2
Foaming surfactant cleansers can be drying! Oil cleansing helps dry flaky cells’ desquamation. Massage 2-3 pumps of our Qing Cleansing Oil generously all over face, lashes, lips, neck and chest, breathing in the soothing aroma and allow Qing to lift makeup, pollution particles and dirt. Gently wipe away with a warm wrung damp Kapas Exfoliating Muslin Face Cloth. Allow the steam to penetrate the pores while hemp, tamanu and other oils and herbs work hard to lift dirt and cleanse while replenishing intercellular skin lipids.
step 3
An important step is the ritual is Mitti Raw Honey Face Masque to refine, polish and purify skin without drying. Twice weekly, use a generous layer of Mitti, the raw honey is a humectant, while Ayurvedic herbs brighten and boost cellular turnover to clarify the complexion. Clays with an electrical charge hydrate and boost collagen production, firming, toning while fighting free radicals. Skin feels so baby soft, smooth and happy after a Mitti ritual.
step 4
Illumine Supercritical Face Oil is an award-winning nourishing treat for dry, mature skin. Take 8-10 drops and massage it on fully wet skin damped with Sambac. I have dry, mature skin and enjoy massaging with the Illumine and Kwansha for nearly an hour its soooo addictive . The wild seaberry, rosehip and amaranth oils in it feed and treat my skin. EFA’s, vitamins, superoxide dismutase (a powerful antioxidant), and polyphenols strengthen and plump skin. The curves of the Kwansha Facial Beauty Coin fit well into facial contours to tone, lift and firm, bringing suppleness with regular use.
step 5
Morning and night, I always finish with the Rose & Seabuck Replenishing Face Cream and the Camomila Eye Serum to seal in long lasting nourishment. For intense hydration and to lock in moisture. In the winters I love mixing 4-5 drops of the Illumine Supercritical Oil with the Rose & Seabuck Replenishing Face Cream and massage into my face, neck and chest generously at bedtime as an overnight deep repair treatment.

DO WE LIVE IN AN ERA OF
THE FOMO? THE STRESSES
AND PRESSURE OF URBAN
LIVING, CHEMICAL
TOXICITY BOTH IN OUR DIET
AND SKINCARE CAN TAKE A
TOLL ON OUR SKIN.
Our skin is a delicate, sensitive yet strong and resilient protective cover and a barometer of what is going on, on the inside too. You may be genetically pre-disposed to this skin type. Or skin can become sensitive, irritated and rosacea prone for a myriad of reasons - overuse of peels and treatments, chemically laden skincare and sunscreen, pollution, hard water, harsh sun exposure, food and lifestyle choices. If you have intolerant, rosaceous, allergy-prone or sensitive skin, it will naturally react to external irritants quickly and easily. Symptoms can range from itching, tingling, burning, tightness, flushing and redness.
step 1
The Wild Rose Himalayan Mist with a pH of around 4-5 is compatible with the skin’s acid mantle which is also of a similar pH (4-6) range, and is a God sent saviour for disturbed skin. Our steam distilled Rose Mist is so mild and pure we even drink it! Damp skin with this preservative and additive free flower water to calm and soothe irritated skin as often as you like throughout the day.
step 2
To cleanse skin, gently pat 2-3 pumps of the Qing Cleansing Oil all over face, neck and chest to nourish and comfort skin while lifting environmental and other pollutants and cleanse skin. Softly wipe away with our cool damp Kapas Exfoliating Muslin Cloth gently patting the cloth over face to cleanse skin. Allow this calming oil with melissa and angelica to heal, soothe redness and irritation.
step 3
Rosacea prone, irritated skin needs a mild exfoliation and masque-ing ritual to slough off dry, dead skin cells. Using our hypoallergenic, dermatologically tested vegan Kunchi Face Brush to apply a thin layer of Mitti Raw Honey Face Masque once a week, allowing its raw honey, raw butters and oils to heal and the clay minerals to enrich tissues and help cell turnover without aggravating or irritating compromised skin.
step 4
Our single ingredient Wild Seaberry Supercritical Face Oil is proven to regenerate skin’s corneocytes. The seabuckthornberry oil protects cells from oxidative damage, also traditionally used for the treatment of ulcers by controlling pro-inflammatory mediators. This oil promotes recuperation of skin injuries and supports the healing of irritated skin.
step 5
Irritated skin has disturbed microflora and a compromised sebum as well as pH. Safe compositions and formulations like our Rose & Seabuck Replenishing Face Cream for daytime and night, along with the Camomila Eye Serum will allow skin to heal and regain its strength, resiliency and balance. These moisturizers respect the skin’s pH and work synergistically to restore the skin’s equilibrium.
step 6
A renowned adaptogen stress buster and a healing herb in Ayurveda, our Tulsi Whole Leaf Tisane Infusion calms and soothes, the perfect cuppa at the end of an arduous day.
UV SUN DAMAGE. HYPERPIGMENTATION. UNEVEN TONE.
DULL, UNEVEN
SKIN TONE CAN BE
A CHALLENGE FOR
THE BEST
OF US.
Years of sun exposure, hormonal pigmentation, sun spots, scars and discoloration can diminish the vibrancy, radiance and glow lending a tired, dull look to the complexion. We feel you! This ritual is created with a line-up of our superheroes: single ingredient creations and synergistic compositions rich in Vitamins A (pro retinol), C and E. Powerful antioxidants neutralize free radicals, help fade sun damage safely and with patience and consistent use, we see visible results.
step 1
Damp skin with Sambac Botanical Mist to act as a carrier of the lipids in the Qing Cleansing Oil to penetrate deeper into skin, working effectively in deeply cleansing and combatting the effects of sun, smog and pollution. Pat or press 2-3 pumps of Qing all over the face, lashes, lips and brows. I never forget the neck and upper chest. We love the balmy, soothing aroma and the feel of Qing both as a cleanser and a first massage ritual. Massage for a minute or two. Then is the important step of removing all traces of grime, makeup and the day’s stress. Soak the Kapas Organic Exfoliating Muslin Cloth in hot water, wring it to leave the cloth damp and warm (not hot) and press Kapas all over the face thoroughly cleanse skin. Repeat this step again for a deep cleanse and to reveal baby soft, clean, calm skin that is ready to receive the treats that follow.
step 2
Ayurveda regards “ubtan” or physical exfoliation with plant and mineral powders as a vital skincare step for clear, bright, even toned skin. The Turmeric Sand Exfoliant Face Masque is a safe and gentle exfoliator that does double duty as a masque. I apply it with the vegan, hypoallergenic dermatologically tested Kunchi Face Brush. I have this skin type and advise exfoliating nightly with a loose paste made of milk, yoghurt and our Sand. Keep it on as a masque for 5 minutes or so and wash off with cool water, exfoliating in circular outward strokes to polish and refine skin tone. I love how it is so gentle, so non-abrasive and doesn’t dry my skin.
step 3
Our award winning single ingredient, single origin Himalayan Wild Rosehip Supercritical Oil is your oil of choice for intensive reparative results. A natural form of pro-Vitamin A retinol, massage 10-12 drops, 5 times a week, nightly on skin pre-damped with Sambac Botanical Mist. We recommend a soft massage for 10 to 15 minutes with slow, long strokes all over the face, eyes, neck and chest with our Kwansha Beauty Coin to help the oil absorb deeper into the skin while toning facial muscles.
step 4
For visible early results, masque 4-5 times a week with the award winning Mitti Raw Honey Face Masque - a holy grail for so many of my clients! Mitti has scientifically proven skin brightening ingredients – yashtimadhu, manjishtha and clays that even out and brighten skin tone. I have seen dramatic results in just one use.
step 5
Keep skin hydrated. For a boost of the same skin brightening, long lasting benefits, begin and end the day with the Rose & Seabuck Replenishing Face Cream and Camomila Eye Serum. Both best sellers and much loved for their light, non-sticky texture. The plant based hyaluronic acid delivers optimum moisture-lock and hydration with added skin refining results.
step 6
Our Rosehip & Mint Whole Leaf Tisane Infusion is rich in Vitamin C and an extension of your skincare ritual in imbibe-able form. Refreshing and a delicious herbal beverage, this herbal “tea” will aid in evening out blemishes and skin tone.
MY PERSONAL RITUALS AND TIPS THAT I LOVE SHARING...
1.
Did you know that the emerald green, lightweight Qing Cleansing Oil can be your one step ritual? Quick absorbing with a synergistic composition of oils like hemp, apricot and seabuckthorn that benefit every skin type, I multitask with Qing as a face moisturizer, hair and body oil too.
3.
I like to mix a drop or two of our superstar, award winning Illumine Supercritical Face Oil into my foundation or sunscreen. It disappears without a trace, leaving skin velvety smooth and primed as a protective barrier under make up. It forms a shield over the skin, protecting it from high pH sunscreen, colour cosmetics and makeup.
5.
A single ingredient, multi-corrective oil, our Himalayan Wild Seaberry Supercritical Oil works remarkably well on compromised skin. My clients undergoing chemo and with burns report having found immense relief using this oil to calm and heal skin safely.
7.
Sitara! Multiple award winner. She is my sunshine in a bottle! Natural minerals suspended in cold pressed beautiful oils, she glides and melds into my skin effortlessly, blurring soft lines and that sun kissed radiance oh! Roll lightly on high points of your face, cheeks and even lips when you’re at your active best at yoga, out running or just feel like leaving skin naked and glowing. The vegan hypoallergenic Kunchi Face Brush is always in my handbag, it multitasks as my makeup brush too.
2.
I recommend once a week going to bed with naked skin. Just like fasting sometimes cleanses and rejuvenates the digestive system, going to bed without anything on allows skin to educate and discover itself, to breathe and rest in its natural state. Once a week, only follow the one step Qing Cleansing Oil ritual and leave skin naked for the night. Try it and tell me how it worked for you.
4.
Blend a tablespoon of Mitti Raw Honey Face Masque with a teaspoon of Turmeric Sand Exfoliant Face Masque and generoussss sprays of the Sambac Botanical Mist. I layer it thick over my face and neck with the Kunchi Face Brush letting it work its magic on my skin for 10 minutes and wash it away in the shower.
6.
Raw pure and potent, our Wild Seaberry Supercritical Oil and Wild Rosehip Supercritical Face Oil are a rich amber and ruby-hued colour respectively. Our oils are meant to be massaged well into skin for deeper absorption and penetration, and sink in without a trace. Use a smaller amount to work into your skin and build up with more depending on the needs of your skin.
8.
Kwansha Facial Beauty Coin. The energetic effects of this healing ancient metal alloy are yet to be understood by modern science but as a student, practitioner and proponent of Ayurveda, I adore using Kwansha in so many different ways. I massage my scalp with the Bitter Apricot Hair & Body Oil and the Kwansha. Often before a bath, I massage with the Kwansha along my neck, shoulders and upper chest with the flat side up in long slow strokes. We use our hands so much typing and on the phone, I massage along my forearms all the way to my palms and fingers to draw out stress, pain and to balance the electro-magnetic energy fields of my body. I feel a lightness and ease after every Kwansha massage that is hard to describe really!
